Karis has been Leader of Boys’ Progress and Achievement at Beamont Collegiate Academy for nearly three years. Following her first year in post, the Progress 8 score for boys went from -0.26 to +0.15. Karis implemented a series of simple policies and actions, embedded into culture and practice. With the mantra of ‘no silver bullets’, Karis used evidence-informed strategies to promote positive progress outcomes for boys – for the first time in the school’s history.
